Found a clip of the White Stripes doing Hotel Yorba at the Molson Amphitheatre last night on YouTube.

The chemistry between the pair irrespective of, divorce, possessiveness, etc etc is just awesome, and the version above of ‘Hotel Yorba’ was breathtaking actually — wish I could have found a complete clip…

The setlist was awesome — but only included two or three tunes off of the new album. They played “Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground”, “In the Cold, Cold Night” (with Jack’s ‘sisiter’ Meg on vocals), “We’re Going to be Friends”, “My Doorbell”, “Fell in Love With a Girl”, and Seven Nation Army — which they closed the show with.

From the new album, the “Icky Thump” and “Effect and Cause” where outstanding.

Anyway — if you have a chance to catch them in Montreal tonight, do it! They won’t disappoint.

Cool review of Plague Park’s Handsome Furs in Tuesday’s Globe and Mail. Reviewer Brad Wheeler describes their new album thusly:

I would describe the album as a meeting of the quirky indie-rock roots music of Rock Plaza Central and the blurry textures of Brooklyn’s TV on the Radio, with some Arcade Fire intensity thrown in.
