The Stripes are unpolished blues roots rock with enough innovativeness to keep each album sounding better than the last one. So many genres one disc! I personally love it and am glad the Stripes are trying hard not to get boxed into their more 'renowned' (read radio-friendly) sound, much as I may enjoy it. The only question that really matters is, where the hell can they go from here? Where is there to evolve? But then again, I tend to say that after every White Stripes album. Wish I could have been at the show last night. I’ve heard a lot — both good and bad, about the new album.
